We collect the following information when you use BrickSide: - Email address (for account creation and login) - Name and username (for your profile) - Profile photo (optional) - LEGO® set collection data (sets you own, quantities) - Saved MOC preferences and discovery history - Device information (device model, operating system version) - App usage data (features used, session duration)
We use your information to: - Provide and maintain the BrickSide app - Manage your LEGO® collection and saved builds - Personalize MOC discovery recommendations - Process premium subscription payments via Apple or Google - Identify which alternate builds you can make from owned sets - Improve app performance and fix bugs - Communicate important service updates
Your data is stored securely using encrypted databases with industry-standard security practices. Authentication tokens are stored using your device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We implement reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your data.
BrickSide uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: - RevenueCat: Subscription management and payment processing - Rebrickable: LEGO® set and MOC catalog data - Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple): Authentication and payments - Google (Google Play): Authentication and payments We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party services. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function (e.g., your user ID with RevenueCat for subscription management).
BrickSide does not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers. We collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics solely to improve app performance and features. We do not track you across other apps or websites. On iOS, we respect your App Tracking Transparency preferences.
Regardless of your location, you have the following rights regarding your data: - Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you - Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data - Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data through Settings in the app - Portability: Request your data in a portable format - Opt-out: Opt out of analytics data collection - Non-discrimination: We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights For EU/EEA residents under GDPR: Our lawful basis for processing is consent (account creation) and legitimate interest (service improvement). You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account. For California residents under CCPA: We do not sell your personal information. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data including your collection, saved MOCs, and profile information is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated analytics data that cannot identify you may be retained for service improvement purposes.
In the unlikely event of a data breach that may affect your personal information, we will notify affected users via the email address associated with their account within 72 hours of discovery. We will also notify relevant supervisory authorities as required by applicable law.
BrickSide is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@bigboybrandsllc.com and we will promptly delete such information.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the app and, where appropriate, via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of BrickSide after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
